Given the present circumstances in our state and country, Tripp and I were not be able to have the wedding ceremony and reception that we envisioned on May 2nd. However, we still got married that day in a small, private ceremony.
Due to the present circumstances in MS, we have cancelled the celebration we had replanned for August 28th. We will share our wedding vows with our wedding party and close family and then celebrate with a dinner and reception afterwards in the venue that we had originally planned to do so on August 28, 2020.
God has truly blessed us through this stressful time. Though life often hands us disappointments and tribulations, we have learned that a courageous and bold approach to these trials makes us who we are!
I would appreciate your prayers during this time, keeping Romans 8:28 in mind specifically. I began thinking about this verse when I first realized that this pandemic might alter our wedding plans, and, in His mysterious and infinite wisdom, God provided the new date of August 28th (8.28) for us. Let's continue to pray for healing for our nation, as we know that He hears the prayers of His people.
